While trends have vacillated through generations regarding purchasing a new home versus a resale home, studies show millennials are by and large more apt to want to design and build their future residence. This trend is driven by a multitude of factors, including the ability to put their own personal stamp on all facets of the construction as well as the assurance of fully functioning systems and appliances – and ideally no extra expenses for repairs or replacements – for years to come.

Even armed with the knowledge that the current climate of supply chain shortages often leads to delayed deadlines and increased costs; many millennials not only prefer to know they are first to inhabit their newly built home but would also recommend the process to their friends.
