HOW TO JOIN - WHY DO WE CARE?

The life blood of HOME is our Builders. Without them, HOME would have no reason to exist. That being said however, we do employ a great deal of discretion when opening our doors to new business. Not every builder is able to attain HOME membership. In fact, HOME seeks out only those builders who are technically competent, financially secure and professionally ethical.

Why be so picky, you ask? Here are 5 good reasons.

	Our screening requirements assure us that we are selecting a higher caliber of builder to become – and remain – members in the program. In other words, we want the “cream of the crop”.
	By selecting the “cream of the crop”, our members are assured that every other member in the group at least meets, if not surpasses, these same rigorous standards.
	When you deal with a group that has demonstrated a certain level of reliability and expertise, the claims experience for that group should be better than that of the general population.
	When your claims experience is better than that of the general population, your rates remain under control.
	Ultimately, with this more “select” group – one that is stable and competent – a wider array of products and services may be offered, including programs like General Liability Insurance. While the rest of the insurance industry shies away from builders, we are able to embrace it because of the quality of the builders in our pool.

We know how busy builders are and that the last thing most builders want to do is fill out paperwork. However, we also know that this screening process is an essential tool which helps protect the reputation of our members, maintain the health of the company, and ultimately strengthen the foundation from which HOME is able to offer you warranty programs, insurance products and a variety of services.

For your convenience, some of the items needed to apply for membership in HOME are posted in this section. Each form may be printed out for completion and submission to us. Your local Account Executive is available to assist you in determining what items are required and answer any questions you may have on the approval process.
