Experience

1981 saw the birth of two companies with vision – companies whose goal is to provide a level of security to homeowners and Builders alike, never before attained in this country. HOME of Texas (HOME) and Residential Warranty Company, LLC (RWC) have devoted over two decades to providing insured, written structural warranties to over two million homeowners across the country. In 1993, HOME of Texas was purchased, adding numerous members to the fold. Knowing that Texas presented unique challenges for the building industry, the addition of HOME enabled the company to effectively manage risk while maintaining a competitive and service oriented business approach.

Strength

By maintaining a competitive price structure, a solid hold on expenses and monitoring membership qualifications as a means to manage claims, HOME has been able to survive the turbulent ups and downs of both the '80's and the current economic strife. Warranty Underwriters Insurance Company (WUIC), a Texas based property and casualty insurance company, provides the backing exclusively for HOME members. With a solid financial history, WUIC insures that HOME's warranties provide the quality warranty coverage described.

Warranties issued by HOME are insured by Warranty Underwriters Insurance Company (WUIC) which has a surplus in excess of $9.9 million as of 12-31-07. Liability for WUIC is limited to Texas and Florida.

Integrity

Throughout its existence, maintaining the integrity of HOME’s membership has been critical. To that end, HOME prides itself on dealing with Builders who are professional, technically competent and financially sound.

Diversification

Being able to provide a variety of services to our customers is the result of much hard work and due diligence along the way. While many companies are forced to downsize and limit their offerings, HOME is able to expand and offer an ever-increasing array of products and services to both homeowners and the home building industry.
